Crooks, bastards and lying thiefs
Why aren't we shocked by a corrupt EU?
By Daniel Hannan
The shocking thing is that we're no longer shocked. Yesterday, for the thirteenth consecutive year, the European Court of Auditors refused to approve the EU budget.
If this happened to a government department, it would be front page news. If it happened to a private corporation, directors would be facing prison terms. But, because it's Brussels, we flex our shoulders in a shrug so disdainful as to be almost Gallic. Yup, the EU is corrupt. Et alors?

The shocking thing is that the leftists often is the hardliners in the chritizism of the union, while it is a socialistic wet dream. Super centralistic. Super beurochratic and super protectionistic! Likewise shocking is that so many "conservative" partys are so positive to it...
The political world really is turned upside down and inside out sometimes!
(And soon the EU is going to be run by the French! "Shudder!")

Actually, having the EU run by the French might be an improvement. ?

Have you read any statements from Sarkovsy lately?
France is the one country that are pushing the most for protectionism. They also have unproportional power as it is.
Did you read the "low energy lamp" post I did? The one of forbidding ordinary light bulbs to save energy. And at the same time have protective tolls on low energy lamps (to protect manufaturers in Europe)? Only thing is that ALL the LEL is made in china! By Europeian manufacurers...
And who do you think is behind this legislation as well as the tolls?
Well lets just say that they eat a lot of escargotes there!
